It’s one thing to say that some incident, interaction, or circumstance has triggered undesirable feelings or energy in you, and quite another to designate it as the cause for that feeling to be within you. Often people tend to be too quick to assign blame to something that stands out in connection with a bad feeling, when it merely served to expose something in us that, not knowing how to process, we have been fighting all along. To be whole and present, to arrive at really feeling comfortable in your own skin, any feeling getting in the way must be wholly processed and thoroughly digested, and not just the part relating to some specific set of circumstances. This is why we take the approach of wholly addressing the feeling itself, rather than limiting the focus. This is pervasive processing. This is therapeutic spiritual counseling.
