Never mind the thoughts, they are mostly irrelevant, and just get in the away. What you feel is and always will be the substance and the point, so have them, let them be experienced and processed, that’s ultimately what matters. “Figuring out”, “solving”, explaining, intellectualizing and being philosophical about what you feel are all substitutes for and attempts at avoidance of what you feel. Want to be done with that disturbing feeling? Don’t resist, just feel, absorb and let it digest. Scrap all that complicated thinking, it changes nothing. Feel.
