Just as the Physical world presents the illusion of distance in separation by space, the same is true of time. Let go of your projection of something as being in the distant past, for in your true being, it is as recent as this moment. And so there’s no actual necessity to maintain an urge to hold onto the past, because it never really went away. Feeling overwhelmed, just as we try to acquire, possess, and maintain an area of space as our own and separate from all the rest, we do the same with time.
