Analyzing things, “intellectualizing“ experience, rationalizing what occurs, these are all superficial substitutes for simply being present, having, accepting and feeling what is present. Rather than resorting to “thinking“, be present, so as not to miss the moment. If you are afraid of encountering something you don’t know, you may fall into the trap of rationalizing it so as to fit into some preestablished frame of reference. Try actually being present for the newness and the nowness. Life is what is, not what was.
