Successfully Addressing a Functionality Issue
SG is a practitioner of various methods who came to me both for personal gain in sessions with me, and to have me mentor him in my approach and techniques. He has proven quite adept in understanding and applying the techniques, but while training him I noticed a sort of elocutionary hitch in his verbal delivery. I knew it was an issue of presence, in other words, he was falling into a persona that did not feel safe and comfortable in the context of guiding a client through a session.
And so in the next session I gave him, we addressed that with the False “Me” Deconstruction technique. Shortly thereafter, SG had this to say:
“Hi Dex, I just gave a client a session, and I noticed how much more grounded, present and self-assured I was. Thanks, Dex!”
